OUR DESIGN PROCESS

We’ve spent the last 15 years producing bespoke designs for clients all over the world. From infographics, logos and print materials, to animations, web design and custom interactive experiences, we have honed our design process to ensure an iterative, smooth experience no matter what kind of design you need.

On this page we’ll cover how we approach graphic design and illustration, from beginning to final delivery.

THE CLIENT BRIEF

Whether you need an infographic, an illustration, or a complex interactive experience, the process begins with a brief. We can be pretty flexible when it comes to what’s needed, meaning you can send us an Excel sheet full of data, a Word document, or an email, just something that tells us what you need and when you need it. We will follow this up with either a kick-off call or our client questionnaire, in which we’ll ask about brand guidelines, preferred styles, reference designs and your target audience. There are no right or wrong answers, just tell us what you can and we can take care of the rest.

TIMELINES, DEADLINES & QUOTES

Regardless of your exact requirements, our team will confirm any applicable deadlines you need to meet, confirm your accurate, up-front quote and produce an accurate timeline for the project. This will include scheduled progress meetings, draft deliveries, revision periods and a final delivery date.

You will also be given a dedicated project manager, who will be your main point of contact throughout.

SKETCHING & WIREFRAMES

For almost all design formats, we will produce some form of initial sketch, wireframe, or illustration example. This allows us to ensure our first draft aligns with your expectations, and that the style is suitable for your project. Below is an example of how a sketch or wireframe might translate to the final version:

SKETCH TO FINAL IMAGE

You will have an opportunity here to suggest changes, or request further drafts. If needed, we can arrange a call to talk you through the designer’s vision. This will include your project manager, and someone from the design team.

FULL DESIGN

Once the sketch, wireframe or example is signed off, we will move to the full design, supplying you with a fully designed, full-colour first version. For infographics, posters, animation storyboards, illustrations and interactive experiences, this will be a single PDF with your full design. For services such as logo design, you will receive several options to choose from. Once the full design is emailed over, we will have a scheduled call with your project manager, a senior designer and your team. You will have an opportunity to provide full feedback, and request any changes to the design.

UNLIMITED REVISIONS

Unlike other agencies, we offer unlimited revisions with all design-related projects, meaning you can continue to ask for changes without worrying about incurring additional fees. The only time we will charge for revisions is if you change the scope of the project, for example by asking for additional data to be included.

FINAL DELIVERY & FILE FORMATS

We provide all design files in PDF format as standard. However, you can also request JPEG, PNG, or any other file format needed for no extra charge. If you need the working file (usually Adobe Illustrator), we can discuss getting this sent to your team once the project is signed off and fully paid for.
